The founder of BedHead Pajamas, Renee Claire, not unlike many fashion designers, was sewing and designing clothing when she was very young. She grew up in Amherstburg in southern Ontario, Canada, so warm, comfy pajamas are a natural outcome for a talented youngster who grew up in very cold winters. 

As so many aspiring fashion hopefuls, Renee went from the frigid north to sunny Los Angeles, waitressing at night and designing in the day. Her ephiphany came in the late 1990's when she realized dresses were no longer the ticket to fashion fame. She spied a cute pair of pajamas in a boutique window and realized that she could actually do much better. And after researching the then-current pajama offerings, she saw a need for sophisticated, beautifully tailored pajamas. Renee began to develop her own cotton and cotton-blend textiles in gorgeous colors and innovative patterns. 

Three years later, the BedHead Pajamas company had produced over fifty thousand pajamas sets, cut and sewn of imported fabrics in Los Angeles. Renee personally designs the collections in house, and has created seventy US-based jobs. Bedhead sleepwear is sold in many boutiques around the world, as well as Nordstrom's and Neiman Marcus department stores. The colorful pajamas are also sold at a Bedhead Pajamas store in West Hollywood.
