Daniel "Red" Carter grew up in California but relocated to Miami when he decided that he wanted to be involved in the world of fashion. Working for famous brands like Victoria's Secret, Oscar de la Renta, Esprit and Guess gave him a springboard and room to grow and learn his trade. And like many talented designers, Red Carter started his own designer collection. Following his own dream, employing emboldened graphics and vibrant placed prints, the Red Carter brand was launched in 2003. Miami soon took notice of Red Carter's ingenious touches, like his famous red button with the unique logo on every style, still an iconic touch on each piece of swimwear. He now works in his own design studio in New York City. 

Red Carter's designs include graceful one-piece swimsuits, bikini swim tops with halter ties, triangle cups and bandeau styles, matching swim bottoms, rash guards, coverups and more. All Red Carter swimwear is sleek, and available in sporty, retro and feminine styles. Each design captures his fun-loving, untamed energy, frequently inspired by his love of travel and the people of different countries. Red Carter designs for women everywhere who want to stand out from the crowd and celebrates their uniqueness. 

His design finesse brought him kudos in 2009 as one of IMG Mercedes Benz Swimwear Designers of the year. Now available in many fine stores like Bloomingdales, Anthropologie and Nordstrom's, Red Carter swimwear also has a strong on-line presence in on-line retailers like ShopBop and Everything But Water.
